Boxeur is the story of a boxing match, but also of resilience and courage.
In 1946, in Paris, Eugenio Lorenzoni, an emigrant from Trentino, and Victor Young Perez, a Tunisian champion, challenge each other after the war has broken their careers. Between sport, anti-fascism, and determination, Boxeur tells the story of the struggle to never give up.

Boxeur was born from an encounter between actor Stefano Pietro Detassis and the world of boxing. Fascinated and amazed—free from the prejudices that surround boxing—Stefano Detassis shared his interest with Dr. Lorenzo Vicentini, historian and founder of the Palestra Popolare Malacarne gym.
The historian recounts to Stefano Detassis the story of Eugenio Lorenzoni, an immigrant from Trentino who moved to Paris: Eugenio Lorenzoni's story thus becomes the driving force behind a show that, through boxing, offers insights into trade union movements, Nazi-Fascist upheavals, and a new idea of sport: collective and working class.
