“Boxeur” is the story of two men who have always fought in the boxing ring but who will now have to battle against the rise of fascism and Nazism in the midst of World War II.

Eugenio is Italian; he fled fascism. Victor, on the other hand, is Tunisian and fled poverty. One is a socialist worker; the other is Jewish. Their paths cross in Paris during a boxing match, but war breaks out, and the match is postponed.

Eugenio and Victor are, above all, two athletes who dream of a better life and of being able to box—things the war has denied them. Their personal struggle then turns into a collective revolution. Eugenio becomes the worker-boxer who fights for all exploited workers like himself, and Victor becomes the symbol of those who refuse to bow down to Nazism and fascism.
